The Eumundi Market is Australia's premier tourism market that has been built on the foundation of preferring stalls that sell local high quality Australian made goods. It began its journey 28 years ago as a small local craft market and, subsequently, has grown into the Sunshine Coast's No. 1 tourist attraction.
Tourists travel from throughout Australia and overseas to visit the famous Eumundi Markets and come away exhilarated from the experience. Eumundi Markets offer a wide range of local produce, arts and crafts as well as delicious foodstuffs and food carts. Entertainers seduce the Tourists with the exotic sounds of the many diverse cultures that perform.
Over 600 stalls operate every Wednesday and Saturday scattered throughout the town of Eumundi where tourists can purchase unique creations from local artists, indulge their taste buds with a multitude of culinary delights, have their caricature drawn, palm read or pamper themselves with one of the many masseurs available. When you need a break from the shopping there's plenty of local talent to keep you entertained be it either world music sounds, country tunes or trancing tribal rhythms .... they all get your toes tapping. Together with the traditional bush poetry, street theatre and buskers there is a new adventure on every corner.
Eumundi as a town has embraced and developed the markets to its current unique level. The original markets were run by a dedicated and charitable community group, Eumundi & District Historical Association. With the success of the market other independent markets have grown and added to the overall experience of the Eumundi Markets.
