What Products are allowable at the Eumundi Markets? Eumundi Markets is a makers market. We pride ourselves on the quality of the local handcrafted products that are available throughout the market. Products should be designed/made by the stall applicant in accordance with the following criteria. - Only the goods described and approved on the registration form may be sold from the stall.
- Goods sold within the market must be principally made, manufactured or produced by the Stallholder. The Stallholder must produce sufficient evidence to satisfy the Market Manager of these matters and his/her decision shall be final.
- Exceptions may be approved by the Market Manager, in his sole discretion, on the grounds of the Stallholders demonstrable and significant involvement in the design and/or manufacturing of the product. The onus of proof in all such instances is on the Stallholder.
Can Stallholders cancel a stall? Regular Stallholders may cancel as per Market Regulations. If a regular stallholder cancels after 12 noon the day prior to a market they must pay for their site and stall cover.
Do I require any insurance? Stallholders are required to have both public and product Liability Insurance to $10,000,000. They are also required to have all licences and insurances required to operate a stall within the guidelines of the relevant bodies.
Stall costs & sizes? Sites at Eumundi Markets range in size due to the nature of the area we occupy. The basic costs on a Saturday start at $31.50 per site and on a Wednesday from $25.00. These charges will include an area 3 metres by 3 metres or smaller. For larger sites additional fees will be charged. For stallholders who require power or operate food carts there are also additional fees which include water usage, rubbish removal, cleaning etc. We also provide additional hire equipment such as Tables ($4), Umbrellas ($8) and Site Covers (starts at $20 for standard 3x3m site)
What do I need to bring? Site Fees do not include the supply of any tables, covers, electrical leads etc. Stallholders can hire all the necessary equipment at the markets if they wish excluding power leads. Stallholders must be prepared for the advent of wet weather.
What happens when it rains? We are open rain, hail or shine every Wednesday or Saturday except on Christmas Day.
Can new products be sold on a stall? All products sold in the markets must have management approval prior to being sold on stalls. If a stall was approved to sell women's fashion, then new clothing designs may be sold. But, if the stall was approved to sell pyjamas, the stallholder may not start selling swimming costumes. If a stall was approved to sell ceramics, they cannot start to sell glass. This regulation is applied with common sense. Products designs/styles may be developed, but new products cannot be sold without Management approval. To obtain approval for the sale of new products, a product variance form must be obtained from the office. Management will then make a decision based upon the product variation.
What about food stall applications for the Eumundi Markets? All cooked food applications must incorporate a food cart. Vans are no longer allowable at the Eumundi Markets and all food must be prepared in a registered kitchen and be approved by the Maroochy Shire Council.
Is Parking available? Car parking is available to stallholders at the rear of the bottom car park. Stallholders should endeavour to park as far away from the market as possible so that your customers have easy access to your stalls. Stallholders must not bring their cars back into the market until the designated times of 1:30pm on Wednesdays and 2pm on Saturdays.
Is Storage available? On site storage is not available, however arrangements can be made to store equipment for you and have it on site for the market day. We provide this service at a reasonable cost and each circumstance is negotiated.
I am a traveller. Can I have a stall for a few weeks, on a casual basis?
