With Christmas fast approaching, there’s no better place to shop for original gifts than the Eumundi Markets – every Saturday and Wednesday morning.
You’ll find everything from fashion and jewellery to original art, ceramics and furniture, as well as handmade toys and a wealth of wonderful stocking fillers!
If you’re after a truly special Santa sack, visit Traci at That’s Me Designs. You can opt for one that says Ho! Ho! Ho! (available from Traci every Wednesday and Saturday market prior to Christmas) or order a custom made one with whichever name you choose.
And for kids keen to see Santa and have their photos taken with Santa, he’ll be at Eumundi Markets in the lead-up to Christmas – thanks to All Things Christmas, and their fabulous North Pole connections. You’ll find Santa and his helpers at the Main Stage (near the Railway Refreshment Rooms). Cost for three 5 x 7 photos is $20, including postage to your home.
For the loveliest Christmas cards and gift tags visit Kristina Moore at Canvas My Room and Billycart Prints on Saturday markets. Her Christmas range is based on the "12 Days of Christmas" and printed on paper from renewable plantation forests.
Our food stalls have everything you could need to cook up a storm for your Christmas parties and that Christmas Day feast.
Visit Mary and Maggie at the Eumundi Food Company stall on Wednesdays and Saturdays for their Bush Spiced Christmas Puddings. Made with Australian fruit (that's been soaking for months to season it just right), local nuts, delicious ginger wine and Queensland rum, and spiced with lemon myrtle, aniseed myrtle, and wattleseed. Gluten and dairy free. Sooooo good!
Also try their famous innovative "Christmas Pudding Semi-Freddo Mix" (just add to ice-cream for the flavours of Christmas, but the icy cool taste of Queensland summer). They also have Christmas fruit mince crumble tarts (an old fashioned twist on a Christmas favourite), gift boxed macadamia shortbread, passionfruit shortbread and mini-Christmas puddings to hang on your tree.
Make sure you also visit the bush foodies extraordinaire at Cedar Creek Farm. Chef Peter Wolfe has crafted native bush spiced full of fruit Christmas cakes that are heaven sent. Chock full of whole macadamias, pineapple, cranberries, sandpaper figs, glace native limes, raisins, sultanas, dates, ginger, wattleseed, bush herbs, local honey and lashings of rum and brandy. Dairy free, made with deliciously rich extra virgin macadamia oil. 65% fruit and nuts. Gluten free available.
NB Eumundi Markets will be closed on Christmas Day but will be open for trading on New Year’s Day.
